David Lantz - Employee Spotlight June 2024

Crownstone Equipment's Employee Spotlight for the month of June is Dave Lantz. Dave has been with Crownstone Equipment as Corporate Service Manager since January. In this role, he supports all six Crownstone Equipment branches, ensuring that the capacity for demand is met to assist customers. Since starting with us, Dave has achieved a Gold Certified training certification.

During his time away from work, Dave likes camping with his family and visiting different racetracks throughout the summer. When asked about a favorite memory, he recalls spending a Christmas as a child with his mom and her eight brothers and sisters. He says his family got together every Christmas on his grandparents' farm, with about 50 or 60 people together, for dinner on Christmas Eve. The memory is very special to him. 

Before working in the heavy equipment industry, Dave worked in the car business for 32 years—25 of which were spent with one company! He says a lot of people helped him in guiding his career. About Crownstone, Dave mentions that one aspect of his job he enjoys is that no two days are the same. Each day, he meets different people and helps them solve the problems they might be facing. The variety of challenges each day keeps the job from becoming tedious. Asked about one thing he's learned since starting his career, Dave replies, "Everything breaks down no matter the size. The important part is figuring out a game plan to get the equipment back on the job site."
